Kenneka Jenkins, Teen Found Dead In Chicago Hotel Freezer, Laid To Rest

While investigations are still underway to understand what happened to Kenneka Jenkins, 19, the family of the teen was able to lay her body to rest. The funeral service, which was held at House of Hope Church in Chicago, had a turn out of over 1000 people.

Since news of her death broke on Sept. 9, there have been speculations as to what happened after her body was found in a Crowne Plaza walk-in freezer the morning after she attended a party in the hotel.

Law Enforcement released video footage of Jenkins stumbling around restricted areas of the hotel that suggests there may not have been foul play involved in the teen’s death. However, many family friends and Chicago residents continue to urge investigators to dig deeper to solve the mystery of her death.
