WHAT’S THE MOVE?: THE SIX EVENTS TO ATTEND AND BEHERE

We are half way through the month of November and there are still plenty of things to do in the Capital City. There are some great events going on this weekend leading up to the Thanksgiving Holiday. With a mix of family, friends, and fun here are six events happening around Baton Rouge!

Michael Jackson Tribute Light Show


Michael Jackson Tribute Light Show spectacular starring America’s #1 Michael Jackson impersonator Danny Dash Andrews. Be apart of this incredible concert experience that pays tribute to the life and legacy of The King of Pop. A show for all ages, this two hour non stop high energy show will take you on a breathtaking magical musical journey that spans Jackson’s four decade career. Our extraordinary production features state of the art lighting and concert sound that truly captures the essence of Michael Jackson’s worldwide concerts.
Doors open at 7:00pm. Show starts at 8:00pm.

Women Veterans Day Celebration


Join Women Veterans this Saturday for a networking celebration. This event is free and open to all branches of service women veterans. RSVP is recommended but not required.

2017 Baton Rouge Party in Pink™ Zumbathon® Charity Event


Come out and party with a purpose for the 2nd Annual Party in Pink Zumbathon Charity Event to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.Guests will experience a LIVE DJ, photo booth, henna art, shopping, raffles/giveaways, and lets not forget THE HOTTEST ZUMBA INSTRUCTORS to grace Louisiana! DONATIONS are strongly encouraged as they are raising money for Zumba Fitness’ Breast Cancer Awareness Global Initiative in patnership with Susan G. Komen. All donations come with a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for one of many prizes from their gracious donors.

Louisiana – Moscato & Heels Dance Class


Hey Ladies! The time is  here for Miss Belle Rouge’s next Moscato & Heels dance class in Baton Rouge, LA. She’s bringing her sexy heels class from Atlanta to Baton Rouge for one night only. Bring you girls for a fun night out! Please wear comfortable heels and sexy (comfy) attire for dance class. Knee pads are optional. They’ll have wine and light refreshments!

The Louisiana Leadership Institute presents: Book Signing with Donna Brazile


Join the scholars of the Louisiana Leadership Institute in welcoming Donna Brazile, former DNC chair and legendary political operative, as she discusses and signs her latest book Hacks. Hacks gives an insider account of the Russian hacking of the DNC and the mishaps by the Clinton campaign and Obama administration that enabled a Trump Victory.

3rd Annual Natural Hair Expo


Join Hair Yum for the 3rd Annual Baton Rouge Natural Hair Expo, the Loc’d & Loose edition. This year the event will host 2 different tracks – one for those with locs and one for those with loose natural hair. Their goal is to educate our Curl & Loc’d friends on managing, growing, and keeping healthy natural hair, bodies, and minds. The event is a family oriented event, so they encourage you to bring your children so they can see others who look just like them embracing and Loving their natural hair. You will also have the opportunity to meet and shop with our awesome vendors. The items available for purchase are but not limited to: natural hair products, body products, candles, bonnets, apparel, jewelry, health products, and more.
