Meditate with the Moon: beBatonRouge x YogaNoir

Yoga is a growing trend in fitness. It is also one of the most popular ways to gain strength, increase flexibility and lose weight. Some added physical benefits are relieving joint pain and improving stamina. Yoga also serves as a way to reduce stress, improving your quality of sleep.
Nikky Scott, a yoga enthusiast, owns a local company called The Yoga Noir Project. Inspired by the surge of black yogis on social media, Nikky created The Yoga Noir Project. Yoga Noir’s purpose is to engage black women in yoga through local events. Through a network that she has created, Nikky has various yoga instructors teach at her events.
In honor of Stress Awareness Month, on Sunday April 29th, BeBatonRouge and Yoga Noir Project will be hosting a rooftop yoga event called “Meditate with the Moon”. The event will be held downtown on the rooftop of 440 on Third. Tickets are $15 and the event begins at 6:30pm. Buy tickets HERE.
