IWE Festival in Photos

June 10, 2017 kicked off the inaugural IWE FESTIVAL – an urban culture festival that boasts a vibrant array of creativity, art, and culture through literacy – on the Bluff of Southern University.
Performers included CopperTop, Sweet Southern Heat Band, and Legends in the Making Dance Ensemble. IWE also included local artist and motivational speakers: Nicole Thomas, healthcare professional, educator, and motivator; Don Carey, NFL football player for the Detroit Lions; Joy Williams, author of “Olivia and the Land of Extra-Ordinary”; and more.
