The first Monday in May is always a coveted event— The Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, affectionately known as the #metgala. Each year the museum hosts a themed ball and exhibition that aims to benefit the museum’s costume institute. The 2018 Met Gala theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination. In addition to revealing the Versace supported exhibition, celebrities attended in their festive frocks to pay homage to theme and party.
