Alicia Rollins — Master of Science in Biology

Alicia is beBatonRouge’s Content Manager —  You can find Alicia behind the scenes of our blog posts and creatively directing our web series. She’s originally from Opelousas, LA and will pursue a career in Education after obtaining her Masters.


Naja Mix — Political Science focusing on Leadership Development

Naja Mix is beBatonRouge’s Feature Producer. You can find her behind the scenes of our HomeGrown series and enjoying fine dining on the weekends in the Capital City area. Naja is originally from Atlanta, GA and plans to pursue her career in Leadership Development by bridging the communication gap after graduation.

I am thankful for all of my experiences and opportunities. I am very glad to finally achieve yet another 
goal. I firmly believe that with God anything is possible. I can’t explain it any other way. He has truly been guiding me. Upon graduation, an entirely new world of opportunity will become attainable.” 



Natasha Cummings — Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Southern University

“My most memorable moment on the way to my degree was actually being able to start clinical and gaining my client which was this semester. I enjoyed every minute of getting to know my client and providing the best therapy possible and seeing his improvement really.

Her favorite memory of JD program is winning a National Civil Rights Trial Competition in New York


Joseph Knox Jr. — Music Performance

His most memorable moment during undergrad was his first performance with the Human Jukebox atSouthern University Bayou Classic.
