MLK Festival of Service 2019
The Walls Project’s 2019 MLK Festival of Service was a success, thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors who participated. This year’s worksite was the Winbourne Ave area which featured various residential areas and businesses, including the following: Linda’s Nails, Winbourne Grocery Store, BJ’s Tire Shop, Katressa’s Unisex Salon and over 10 more businesses.
Since 2015, the festival has been growing and servicing blighted neighborhoods in the East Baton Rouge community. It started off as a 1-day event, that grew into a festival that spans the entire Martin Luther King weekend.
