Community members “Tell Us More” about themselves, through dance

What comes to mind when you hear, “Tell Me More”? To many this phrase evokes curiosity and also a sense of excitement to the reader, after all who wouldn’t want to know more?

This is what Of Moving Colors Productions, Baton Rouge’s premier organization for modern dance, wanted to do through their Tell Me More campaign. Of Moving Colors is dedicated to creating and presenting excellent performances and community-based dance activities that inspire, educate, and stimulate.

The “Tell Me More” production puts non-dancers in the role of choreographer.  This production will showcase 12 incredible stories, individually curated by some of our community’s most dynamic individuals.

“Tell Me More”’s Honorary Choreographers include:

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome

Tyrus Thomas, former NBA player
Madeline Ellis, Mimosa Handcrafted
Robyn Merrick, Southern University
Elizabeth “Boo” Thomas, CPEX
Lauren Crump, BRAF
Paul Marks, Jr., Of Blessed Memory, Former Bar Association President
Kate Freeman,  Ochsner

Teddi Hessburg, Our Lady of the Lake Foundation
Greg Milneck, Digital FX
Tom Martin, Pod Pack International
Johnny Palazzotto, Pal Productions

You can help bring their works of art to life by making a donation to support this fundraiser! The team of fundraisers includes the 12 prominent community visionaries and Of Moving Colors Production.  So far they have raised $5,055 of its $30,000 goal.

“Tell Me More” will premiere March 22, 2019 at the Manship Theatre at Shaw Center for the Arts.
