Outdoor Way of The Cross What: This Way of the Cross has a special character: it is a symbolic pilgrimage highlighting the suffering of Christ in the world today through the poor, abandoned, abused, ill, homeless and forgotten. It is an opportunity for people throughout the Baton Rouge area, no matter what their religion, to come together for a day of united prayer. Where: The procession begins at the St. Joseph Cathedral, travels a 14-station route throughout the State Capitol grounds (about a mile in length), returning to the steps of the Cathedral.
